This easily describes my stay at the Bret’s farmhouse in August a few years ago. What a perfect location, near an ancient medieval city with narrow cobblestoned streets, romantic fountains and of course the peaceful setting of the house.
The accommodations were cozy, warm and meticulously maintained – obviously the product of much love. Jillian and Patrice were perfect hosts, making for an atmosphere that was warm and welcoming. Both were helpful in helping me plan special places to visit, including a wine tour of the Cote de Rhone region that I completed by bicycle! I also spent an inspired day hiking in the Les Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range where I was rewarded with close up views of the peaks and magnificent views out over the Rhone valley.
The entire region felt like a movie set, or that a time machine that had transported me to wander the beautiful countryside and small ancient villages that dot the Provence region. Without a doubt, the Bret’s home was one of the nicest places I stayed during my visit to Provence.
